Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Who said beaches were just for Summer? Auguste Abeliunaite models for the current issue of Marie Claire Italia, in the most decadent of winter couture I have ever seen by the seaside. An absolutely beautiful setting compliments the looks of Bottega Veneta, Gucci and Max Mara to name but a few. This seasons priceless rich jewels, lace bodies and darkened hues are offset perfectly against the bleakness of the imagery. I'm sure her beauty would fit right in around Blackpool do we not think?

Rouge

I cannot wear red easily, it clashes with my hair. Therefore I tend to avoid coming into contact with it as best I can. There is one time of year where this task becomes harder, and low and behold, tis the season. Faster and faster Red becomes a staple in our Christmas count down, and I have reached a stage where I can no longer turn a blind eye. To ease me in is this gorgeous shoot in Flair, styled by Laura Taccari and shot by Alvaro Beamud Cortes (yes, I think this name is astonishingly fabulous also.) The red is simple, sheer, and teamed with nudes. I am actually finding myself quite drawn to it...

The Grand Couture...

I have just spent the best part of an hour pouring over these photos from Vogue Italia. Haute Couture is at its utmost best in this hauntingly fantastical shoot by Paolo Roversi. Atelier's such as Valentino, Chanel and Armarni (Who can spot the McQueen?) showcase their finest of the season on Kristen McMenamy and oh how she wears them like it were her own skin. Words cannot express the love I have for these dresses. Not one word. 

 

Let's paint this town...

My goodness I need to move to a place where I can wear these outfits out. Give me beads, lace, fur, sparkle and a whole lot of people who will appreciate these tremendous garments to the full. Let's start a youthful rebellion.

Morning Beautiful...

Anything that involves copious amounts of draped tulle, silk chiffon by the meter and layers upon layers of frills always captures my heart. Vogue Italia always shoot the most breathtaking of garments, and this is no exception...

A Light Dusting...

Vogue Italia. They do Vogue, and then they make it better. Not only are the clothes the most detailed pieces I have seen in a long while, the stylised photography is to die for.  This beautiful all white shoot was taken a few months ago now but on coming across it on my laptop I had to share it so you can all fall in love too.
