For the Love of Gaultier
Oh me oh my. It's lace, it's tulle, it's chiffon. It's dark and ethereal and blindingly beautiful. I think my heart has stopped. This must be what magic looks like. Jean Paul, you have outdone yourself.

Sword in the Stone
It's 'Fall' season, as they say. I suppose I should become accustomed to these new terms being an honorary member of American society, but somehow saying Autumn just feels so much more, well, Autumnul. Despite my inner battle with language, this particular season is my favourite for fashion. The juxtaposition of warm heat set days melting into colder more settled climbs seems to bring out the very best in beautiful designs. It's around this time that my head starts to whirr with the sheer volume of fantastically romantical fabric creations that are making their way out of sewing rooms and down catwalks. Below is what I predict to be the first of many Fall blogs about stunning editorials, and why not start with a blinder. Charles Varenne has placed Abbey Lee Kershaw in some brilliantly adorned head pieces in this shoot for Numero Magazine. Wearing what seems to be fairly heavenly inspired dresses, leather bandages, and yes, a sword - these shots depict a rather contrast view of strength and beauty, and it's looking pretty good from here...

Got Leather?
It's cold, it's dark, and it's miserable. Whoever told me it was sunny all year round in America was sorely misinformed. The only nice thing about it is it feels rather English outside. A brisk breeze, crisp air and damp ground, ah home. In light of this dramatic turn in weather I've been looking into potential outerwear purchases for the colder months, and if you're anything like me you'll find this somewhat stressful. I don't want to be chilly, but I also don't want to be walking around looking like I'm wearing the entire contents of my wardrobe because of some ridiculously thick coat lining. This is where leather plays an integral part in Autumnal outfitting. Thin, warm, and still not quite transended into Winter with these pretty pretty styles below. A little inspiration if you're having a layering mind block.

Gladioli
With my penchent for statement necklaces, this jewellery collection by Dana Lorenz, the designer behind Fenton, is right up my street. Released to a flower scattered background and worn by ethereal models dressed in white; the collection is destined for Art Deco inspired weddings. Following a brief moment of bewilderment concerning the combination of hardwear and beautiful flowing dresses, I landed on the conclusion that actually, I would totally wear this. What was I thinking? It's perfect for me. With my highly developed fear of all things marriage, a large metal ordained plate across my chest seems fairly fitting. I'll walk down the aisle channelling Cecily Brown on Ocean Drive circa 1933 and it shall be wonderous. If I make it that far...
